Product specifications include: mattress springs 51mm in diameter. 1.42 wire guage springs in individual cotton calico pockets, hand formed into a honeycomb nested unit. The mattress border is 20 cm deep with two rows of hand stitching round all sides. It has horizontal matching handles - upto 8 on 150cm sizes. There are air vents on all sides. The mattress edges have protective bonding around all borders and are finished with piped ticking. The mattress upholstery consists of a pocketed unit covered with a calico platform. It is upholstered with 1,170gm per sq. m.superior white cotton felt, then 1,200gm per sq. m. long-stranded white hair enclosed in a hairproof cambric cover, then overlaid with a further layer of 1,650gm per sq. m. superior white cotton felt, and finally covered in fine quality ticking. The mattress is hand tufted with felt washers.
